Operations Director, Connacht
Our client, a Medtech manufacturing organisation based in Connacht, now seeks an Operations Director who will provide organisational leadership onsite, ensuring operations goals and company KPIs are achieved within a regulated cGMP manufacturing environment. Onsite presence is required.
The successful candidate will lead strategy, planning, and management of all aspects of operations on the manufacturing site, ensuring that cost, compliance and customer requirements are met.
The ideal candidate will be a proven Operations leader, with a demonstrated successful track record of deliver in large regulated commercial manufacturing environments. This hire will exercise a people centred approach in their management style and possess a track record in developing a high performing team.
This opportunity will suit an ambitious high energy individual, who has proven ability to lead under pressure in deliver of KPIs which is fundamental to success. Established career path and progression within local site and global teams.
Requirements for Operations Director:
Honours Bachelor’s Degree (level 8) in Science, Engineering, Business or similar technical discipline.
10+ years Operations Management experience, with proven track record in a regulated manufacturing / operations environment and working with EH&S legislation.
Proven leadership experience in successfully developing self, others and function.
Strategic vision & execution, with associated business acumen.
OPEX, Lean and/or Continuous Improvement experience.
Track record in people motivation, organisation development and team building experience, ideally in start-up environment.
Proven relationship building & management experience, including effective stakeholder management expertise.
Experience in electronic quality management and document systems (EQMS, EDMS), manufacturing execution systems (MES). SAP an advantage.
Excellent project management skills. Project Management training / certification is a preferred.
Excellent communication and presentations skills, with leadership team and / or board.
Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
