Project Manager, Medtech
Our client, a Medtech company based in Galway, who are experiencing rapid growth due to a combination of NPDs/NPIs coming through R&D and recently medical acquisitions, now seek an experienced Project Manager who will work cross-functionally with local and global stakeholders. This is a hybrid role, with some on-site presence required in Galway office and some travel as required.
The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams and manages multiple projects from small to large scope, including schedule, scope, costs and resources. Project size ranges from small one-off tasks to large process improvement, design change, design transfers, line extension and projects/Corporate initiatives driving global productivity.
The ideal candidate with be an experienced Project Manager with proven ability to foster and maintains strong relationships with functional heads, in conjunction with developing cohesive and collaborative cross-functional teams, to drive project execution throughout project lifecycle phases.
Responsibilities for Project Manager, Medtech:
Project/Program Management, including developing and implementing overall project plan, including cost, schedule, risk and performance and monitors progress against business key objectives and goals.
Leads the team in appropriate decision making through strong judgment and the ability to analyze options and implications.
Direct control over activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
Communication, including PM team and cross-functional level communications. Critical business decisions to the appropriate management boards and/or functional managers.
Relationship/People Management, including leading, coaching cross-functional project team members to execute towards overall project goals.
Provides input to cross-functional Managers/Directors on team and team member performance.
Product/Compliance Management, including: product design and process changes,
project risk management, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Process Management, including PLCP lifecycle knowledge, QMS knowledge for compliance of products, practise improvements to drive functional excellence and financial management.
Requirements for Project Manager, Medtech:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering or Project Management.
PMP certification or equivalent PM qualification is highly desirable.
8+ years industry experience in high tech manufacturing environment, of which 2+ years of relevant Project Management experience.
Small and large cross-functional project team leadership experience.
Proven ability to lead and work together with a cross-functional, multi-site sites.
Strong organization, execution and communication skills.
Proven experience as point of contact with all levels of the organization as well as external customers.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships within project teams.
Problem solving technical expertise.
Must be willing and able to travel internationally, as required.
